Erik Janssen is a Yamaha artist. From June 2016 Erik is managing director of the FEMU. From 1986 Erik works as Artistic Director at Molenaar Edition Music Publishers. In the past years he produced over 50 cd’s with windband, fanfare band and brass band music. Erik was invited to performed in a lot of countries such as England, Scotland, Belgium, Portugal, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, France, Switzerland, Finland, Portugal, Sweden, Norway and Austria. 2013-2016 was a good year period for the first division band “de Spijkerpakkenband”. They ended runner up in the Dutch 1st division Brassband Championship 2013 and 2015, won this competition in2014 , they won the world music contest in Kerkrade 1st division brass band section in 2013. In 2015 the band won the Survento brass festival, and in 2016 they where the winners of the Flemish open 1st division. Erik visited several wind and brass -bands as guest conductor.
Last years he worked with Banda Amizade in Aveiro Portugal, Whitburn Brassband in Scotland, Woodfalls Brassband, the Paris Brassband, Manger Musikklag, the Swiss National youth band. Erik will lead several bands in the UK in 2016 and he will be on stage at the Grand Shield competition, The National Brassband Championships in the Royal Albert Hall and the Open English Brassband Championships in the Symphony Hall in Birmingham. In 2016 Erik was conductor of the European Youth Brassband in Lille, France. As adjudicator Erik was invited in Norway, Switzerland, France.
